Author's Notebox is a customizable subscription program for schools and libraries to help them keep their collections current all year long with the hot new releases kids are clamoring to read. Does Author's Notebox allow me to order specific titles I know I want? 

If you know what books you want, a direct purchase is the way to go. Simply request a quote via email (orders@authorsnote.com) or by going to www.authorsnote.com, filling a shopping cart, and, at checkout, selecting "Request a Quote." You won't be charged; we'll get back to you with a quote. If you create an Institutional Account, we'll configure it so that, within a day or two, you can see discounted, tax-free prices right in your shopping cart. 

What is Author's Notebox's approach to selecting books?

Our Author’s Notebox program is focused on providing you with a year-round supply of the hottest new titles kids are eager to read. We focus on new releases to keep your collection fresh and to reduce the likelihood that you already have the books we've selected. We pay attention to reviews, journals, and industry buzz to pick options we think your students will love. Our titles are diverse and inclusive; our book selections frequently feature characters of various backgrounds. We aim to provide a reading experience for everyone, including marginalized groups and communities. Our book selections include characters of all races, genders, nationalities, and sexualities. We are proud to offer commercial, kid-appealing selections that elevate the voices of those who have been historically underrepresented in literature.

Can I return or exchange the titles that are included in my Notebox subscription?

A tremendous amount of consideration goes into our Notebox title selection each month. We place orders with our suppliers months ahead of time to ensure that you receive the latest and greatest titles each month. For these reasons, Notebox titles are not returnable, even if you receive a duplicate from another vendor. They're hot off the press, so you shouldn't have them already, but if you do, now you've got two copies of a book kids will really want. 

For customers who order their other books from us, we will know if you already have a copy (because we sold it to you!) so we won't send something you already have. We encourage you to anticipate the fun surprise of a subscription service such as Author's Notebox and be open to introducing new titles to your students.
